Aggression all over! Old Trafford turned wild! Hernandez turns hero yet again striking at the final moments of the game. It was not something new that the Manchester United Fans witnessed. Many a comebacks, the Red Devils have made this season. This should be a cracker on this very fine Boxing Day.

Manchester United: Though the play was dormant on the first half of the match, the Red Devils turned wild to gear up an awesome comeback yet again. Manchester United displayed fine colours, splendid in attack, in the last 25 minutes of the game. Manchester United could not link-up between the midfield and forward in the first half properly and no proper crosses were delivered from the wings. Right at the start of the match, Jonny Evans fetched a goal from a set piece taken by Van Persie. Jonny Evans’ own goal was controversial as officials decided to favour against Manchester United. Evra and Robin Van Persie struck stunners. The Red Devils found themselves balanced after the first half to deliver a perfect counter attacking game throughout till the end. Hernandez spoiled the party for Newcastle, henceforth taking home a fine 3 points yet again.

Newcastle United: Newcastle’s best match, should say, so far .The Magpies never seemed to bother about their injury woes with the likes of Ben Arfa, Cabaye sidelined from the game. James Perch struck his first goal for Newcastle United as a result of a poor shot stop by Dea Gea. Though the team experienced a defeat, fans could witness splendid aggressive game play all over. The team’s morale should be boosted with a kind of form they are in. Cisse’s weaker foot finish was an absolute cracker in the match. Sylvain Marveaux should be the man to watch out for in the future for the Magpies. At the end, Newcastle United should consider themselves unlucky to suffer a defeat at Old Trafford for the kind of performance they put in. Defensively, the Tony Army could not afford to stop the aggressive Reds at the final minutes of the game.

Final Thoughts: As usual the Red Devils came back with a bang to clinch an important win to stay on the top of the table comfortably. With Manchester City suffering a defeat at the Stadium of Lights, the Reds are 7 points ahead of them. Boxing day at its best, it was a live wire moment right from the start of the game till the end. At the end, Hernandez turned out to be difference between the two teams .
